I was copy editor and production editor at ASCE, in Reston, Va., until 2006, and then I left office work behind. Some might say where it belongs, but I'm not that cynical. The point is, you're to be commended for choosing to have your work edited for improved readability and out of respect for the English language. After the job in the burbs, I engaged my skills working freelance for Burrill & Co. and U.S. News Ventures, but found that helping individuals was more rewarding. Nevertheless, the world needs businesses and businesses need text editors, so here I remain, at everyone's service who needs me. I also like music (see my Amazon reviews) and Marvel superheroes from the 60s. I've been known to put a word or two to paper myself.
